30 Creative Pictures of Abstract Photography
We’ve covered several posts on photography and shared a lot of amazing photographs with you over time. By now, you probably have a fairly good idea about composition and lighting, and generally, what makes a good photograph. Since photography is an art as well as a science, it takes a keen eye as well as technical expertise and practice to capture a good photo. But for abstract photography, all these skills and more are brought to the forefront. For a good photographer can only capture a good abstract photograph if all his senses are heightened and he is keenly aware of his surroundings.
Much like abstract art, abstract photography does not have a subject per se. And unlike other forms of photography, composition and focus are loose areas, and can be played around with. A funny thing about abstract photography is that it is said that there is only one rule in abstract photography, and that is that there are no rules at all. So with that in mind, imagine the kinds of great photos you can take! Photos with patterns, super close up photography, photos with colors, and photos with texture all taken of otherwise ordinary objects. This is where the real creativity of the photographer comes into play, how he or she can create something unusual out of usual things, ordinary spaces and everyday objects.
Abstract photographs are also a great way to show a theme or express feelings, as the viewer can take a lot of meanings and interpretations out of every photo, much like abstract art itself.
