29 Memorable Meteor Shower Photos

A meteor shower is a celestial event in which a number of meteors are observed to radiate from one point in the night sky. Most meteors are smaller than a grain of sand, so almost all of them disintegrate and never hit the Earth’s surface. Intense or unusual meteor showers are known as meteor outbursts and meteor storms, which may produce greater than 1,000 meteors an hour.

In today’s post we have collected a beautiful collection of 29 memorable meteor shower photos for you.

Take a look and get inspired.

Well I see you still have no problems posting copyright images without permission on your website, like mine for instance.

  2. Are these taken using massively long exposures? I think i would prefer photos that more instant. Although i understand that would take some lightening reflexes!

These are mostly taken using a series of long exposures stacked into a single photo, although this blog posted at least one of these photos illegally.
